Furthermore, the Association of Christian Classical Schools in conjunction with the University of Notre Dame has found that, generally, students who have had a Christian, classical education achieve superior ACT and SAT scores across all subject areas. At our Christian, classical academy, Sequitur's students score similarly (bottom right).

How Does Sequitur Achieve This?

Though indirectly, Christian and classical education propels students beyond their peers in all subject areas by training young people how to think rationally and by giving them the tools of learning so that they can hit the ground running and intellectually master any subject that's thrown at them. By having strong minds accustomed to grasping new knowledge, ordering it into a functional understanding, and using it wisely for good, Sequitur students can tackle any field of study with mental fortitude, academic confidence, and practical success.

Sequitur's high school texts are chosen not only to align with its core mission and vision of being a Christian and classical academy, but also to be compatible with and competitive toward other high schools and colleges. For instance, our Biology textbook is regularly used at colleges nationwide in Biology 101 courses. Our humanities literature rivals any American or British literature college courses. And our 10th-12th language sequence follows the Latin AP guidelines.

Sequitur further offers Sequitur high school students a free ACT course to prepare them for standardized college entrance tests. We find this important because Sequitur doesn't normally use standardized testing. Parents and students gain much in this free service that has proven results to aid in college entrance and scholarship awards. We hope to provide more such opportunities and resources in the future.

Register As Homeschooler

Sequitur is an "academy", which in the eyes of the state means our students are legally home-schoolers. Homeschoolers must be registered as such and must create the final transcripts to submit to colleges and universities.

TOPS
Home-Schoolers are eligible for TOPS, and so are Sequitur's students. See more here: TOPS Q&A. The most recent update of this document from LOSFA is from 2018.
